#11 needs implant and extraction of root(crown broke off) I'm wearing a flipper...Yuck # 13 & 14 root canal on both 1 yr.ago need crowns (dentist saw infection over 15-13 on Panaramic film @ that time, but Endodotist thought it was 13 & 14 , although the referral was for a retreat of 14 yr.old root canal on #15) No pain after Tr /root canal #13 & #14...until now. #15 is painful & showed "self sustaining "infection above # 15 w/bone loss. Endodotist would like to do Apecoectomy, and retreat a root that looks bad on film, but not sure if tooth is cracked as well. No way to know!

I am in fear of being awake, even with the meds. , that are recommended,and I'm not sure if the apecoectomy is going to be successful. Should I just go ahead and pull 15 & 11(to get ready for implant) and be done with the stress. And will I possibly need a bone graft @ the time of the extraction, if so where do they get it from.

In general I am a healthy 36 yr old female, with Hx of complete hysterectomy and low bone density of 5 years.(ostiopenia only) I am worried about bone healing well around implant on 15.

I am scheduleing the crowns A.S.A.P. after #15 to make sure I don't loose them as well.

# 15 has 2 Z-pack's waitng for surgery ....that is now back & ...it's only been a little over 3 weeks. (I got sick , with a bad strep infection, while waitning and had to delay the apecoectomy....) Now that I have reserched and found out I have to stay awake for the apecoectomy...I am rethinking it all, and feel I need to just do the implant. Why waste my time and $1,000? O Great! .... I just realized I will need a new flipper( on #2) because it hooks around #15...Great another $400-$500........ If I do extraction Will I be able to wear a flipper for a week? I have to be in public. Now I'm even more stressed!
